An industry standard for cable-to-board connectivity applications, HARTING D-Sub connectors can be utilised as a device interface owing to the extensive range of solutions on offer. The availability of such a comprehensive range of PCB termination styles ensures all customer manufacturing requirements can be met.
D-sub is highly suited to configure communication and data interfaces. It is also considered the standard for numerous fieldbus profiles.
Subminiature D connectors are the standard interfaces for data, signal and service/programmer interfaces in the automation industry. Available in optional metal and plastic housings with IP20 and IP65 / IP67 protection, the connectors in the HARTING D-SUB catalogue enable the setup of all Subminiature D interfaces popular within this industry, including fieldbuses.
In addition to HARTING’s D-sub portfolio, it also boasts a range of hoods and accessories, which help to further build and complete the range, as well as fulfil certain requirements, including EMC, IP65 / IP67 and so on.
HARTING offers an extensive range of Standard connectors with 9 to 50 straight, right-angled or US footprint style contacts, as well as a wide variety of other product ranges within the Subminiature D connector application field.
To match a customer’s termination process, there are a number of termination techniques that can be supplied, depending on the product family. These include:
- Solder
- Press-in
- SMT
- SMC
