Robust multi-pin circular connector system with with Bayonet locking mechanism.
HEC connectors offer pin-counts of 5 to 12 with a current carrying capacity of up to 32A per contact.
The series caters for cable OD’s of up to 17mm, has a wire gauge max. of 6.00mm² and is capable of offering IP68 & IP69K ingress protection in mated state or with the use of a protection cover.
The Bayonet HEC (Harsh Environment Connector) Power series is the latest addition to the substantial Binder portfolio and offers IP68 & IP69K environmental protection in mated condition allowing for use in harsh environments where water and the threat of temporary submersion is present.
The system uses a bayonet locking mechanism to secure the connection and has an arrangement of crimp contacts to be purchased separately which cater for wire gauges as high as 6.00mm².
HEC connectors offer versatility with the same shell size catering for 5, 8 & 12 way configurations for power, signal and a combination of both.
Like most circular connector systems, the series uses an industry standard stuffing gland at the rear of the cable plug to provide ingress protection however users can also select a plug with a conduit fixing for further flexibility.
