binder Bayonet NCC Miniature connectors (770 series)
binder’s 770 series is a compact multi-pin circular connector system with a secure and reliable bayonet locking mechanism which is resistant to shock and vibration.
In addition to the dependability of the series, it also offers users another fantastic feature: When the receptacle is disconnected from the mating cable connector, it remains sealed to IP67. This is achieved with a uniquely designed spring-loaded insert which pops up to sit flush with the outer shell, preventing foreign objects from contaminating the contacts when it’s not in operation. This feature is abbreviated in the title of the series - NCC - which means not connected closed.
The system also offers an impressive 5,000 mating cycles which is often 10 times that of its competitors. With its aesthetically pleasing design and cutting-edge characteristics, this circular connector is one of the best on the market.
What options are available?
Since the series was launched, binder has introduced several new additions to its Bayonet NCC series, and the portfolio now boasts:
Front-mount & rear-mount jam-nut panel connectors
As their descriptions imply, front-mount connectors are presented to the front of the panel and fixed with a nut at the rear, whereas rear-mount connectors are presented to the rear of the panel and fixed with a nut at the front.
Customers enjoy this flexibility and have the ability to select an option which aligns with their application preferences.
Solder & Dip-Solder panel connectors
Dip-solder contacts can be soldered directly onto a printed circuit board (PCB), offering a permanent electrical and mechanical connection.
Conventional solder contacts are used in conjunction with wires.
The inclusion of both options allows the user greater flexibility.
Straight & angled cable connectors with solder contacts
The choice of both straight and angled cable connectors makes the 770 series ideal for a wide range of applications. Angled connectors offer space-saving benefits and can reduce stress on the cable and terminals. The solder contacts mean that no special tooling is needed to terminate the wires.
Moulded cable connectors with PVC & PUR cable
Moulded connectors offer exceptional durability and protection against environmental factors, such as dirt, dust, moisture, elevated temperatures, and physical stress.
They provide a permanent connection for PVC and PUR cables, ultimately reducing the risk of loose connections and premature failure.
A variety of shell colours
Available in a choice of colours, connectors can be chosen to complement the features of the product they sit on.
This improvement can also serve as a visual aid to avoid mis-mating when using multiples – ensuring your system functions for as long as possible while reducing the risk of damage.
